At Acoustic Cafe this week from the mainland we have up and comers Long Story Short. Having formed at the Auckland School of Rock in 2008, they normally perform as a five piece (two guys and three girls) and have been busy distilling their influences (such as Paramore, Guns n Roses and Green Day) into their own dramatic sound, and blood pumping live shows. They were recently placed in the top 14 bands at the 2009 Rocksquest, and are determined to take their music further into the limelight. 2 members of the band, sisters Dani and Jasmine, will perform a collection of their material. Also, we will have the islands own Al Reeves along with Kippa, who will both be featuring their original music. The whole night will be hosted by Jay B James who, I'm sure, will perform a small selection of her own material.
